Kari Percival's illustrations embrace whimsy while they reveal the magic
behind everyday relationships in the natural world. Kari holds a
Bachelor's of Fine Art from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago
and a Master's in Environmental Studies from Antioch New England
Graduate School. Her work combines her knowledge of ecology with her
love of painting and drawing for people of all ages, and she especially
enjoys making art for the very young. Kari grew up on the coast of Maine
and continues to gather inspiration from her home in New England. She
enjoys going down to the harbor to look for seals on a stormy day,
following wild animal tracks in the snow to see where they go, wading to
look for starfish during the lowest tide just when the water is warm
enough, and eating wild berries she just picked herself.
